Hannah:

"Upon leaving school, I was unsure what I wanted to pursue in terms of career. I went to study a Level 3 Animal Management course at Lancaster & Morecambe College, consisting of a range of topics (including animal health, biology, welfare ecology & conservation, and business. It also required undertaking a work placement in the pet care industry – this is how I came across Temple of Groom, a dog grooming business run by the wonderful Jen in Torrisholme.

Spending time with a range of dog breeds and realising that I am loving what I was doing, I joined T.O.G. as a dog bather, after doing several weeks there as placement through college. I spent a very happy 18 months there, before moving into this venture of opening my own business.

As you would expect for somebody within this job role, it’s no secret that I’ve always had a great passion and a soft spot for animals. I’ve grown up with pets, owning both dogs and cats throughout my life. I currently own a Miniature Dachshund called Cooper, and a Labradoodle called Autumn – I’ve had them both since pups, with my sister Lucy and partner James joining me on most of our walkies together - they’re the best companions ever!

• Animal First Aid Certified

• City & Guilds Level 3 Animal Management

• Enhanced DBS certified, as of 2025
